Students on a computer

Applying to college and meeting all the different deadlines can be a really stressful time. For many students, the real stress comes during that period in which you’re anxiously awaiting your admission decisions. At ²ÊÃñ±¦µä, we adhere to a series of set admission release dates, so we do not necessarily release admission decisions in the order in which the applications were received. If this sounds confusing, your ²ÊÃñ±¦µä admission counselors are here to help clarify the admissions process so that you know what to expect!

Timeline:

The length of time between the submission ofÌýyour application and all required materials and the moment youÌýreceive your admission decision depends on which deadline you choose to meet: early action (November 15), or regular decision (January 15). If you were on top of your game and met the early action deadline, you will be notified of your admission decision by February 1. If you turned in all of your application materials by the regular decision deadline, you’ll hear back from us by April 1.

How to Check your Status:

It is crucial to check your email and regularly for any updates regarding your ²ÊÃñ±¦µä application. Your admission decision will actually be available for you to view via your application status page before you receive your decision letter in the mail! Your status page is also a great way to make sure that your application is not missing any required materials, and it’s where we will upload any additional forms you may need to complete. It’s a good idea to make an effort to check your application status page at least once a week!

Types of Status Messages:

There are several different messages you might see when your application has been officially reviewed. Whenever there has been a decision or update posted to your application status page, you will also get an email prompting you to check it. To review all of the different application status page updates you might see, visit colorado.edu/admissions/applied.
