Working Goal
Building on the momentum from the Be Heard pilot program and feedback from the most recent Employee Engagement Survey (2019/2020) our goal is to build support systems for A&S staff for training, professional development, and mentorship opportunities through a more systematic and streamlined onboarding and orientation process for new employees. Our goal is to build on existing programs, such as the Quick Start session, and identify best practices across departments and HR in order to best support our staff engagement and development—while mitigating the effects of COVID restrictions and remote/virtual hiring, training, onboarding and engagement.
Current Initiatives
Hold regular project meetings with A&S dean’s office staff
Identify essential onboarding trainings and materials
Survey newer employees and managers to better understand onboarding and training needs for departments
Connect with subject matter experts in different areas to help identify both best practices and mentorship relationships
