Endurance amid uncertainty is topic of wellness summit
“Endurance in the Face of Uncertainty” is the theme of this year’s Health and Wellness Summit at the . Given that it is 2020, the focus could hardly be timelier.
The third annual wellness summit will happen Oct. 6, 7 and 8 (Tuesday through Thursday) and is a virtual event. Online registration is required. The event is organized and sponsored by ’s Health and Wellness Services.
The summit has three objectives:
- To offer the opportunity to learn about support and health and wellness resources available to students, faculty and staff.
- To ensure that attendees leave each session with skills they have learned and tips that they can apply.
- To share information about available services, holistic approaches to health and research put into practice.
On each of the three days, expert presentations, many of them from the College of Arts and Sciences, will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., and a virtual expo will be held each day from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.

- Cultivating Compassion and Connection, Holly Gayley of religious studies
- Vocal Empowerment for Wellness, Beth Osnes of theater and dance
- Tools for Resiliency and De-stressing in the Moment with HeartMath, Erin Cunningham Ritter of the College of Arts and Sciences’ Dean's Office
