The Biochemistry and Chemistry Departments thank the Hein family for their generous support and interest in our Chemistry students! This year's awards were given to two Chemistry students (Gavin Lopez and Carly Shlapak). Chemistry Chair Wei Zhang represented Dr. Samuel Prum and Mrs. Leslye Hein Prum who were unable to attend this year's dinner.

°Õ³ó±ðÌýDr. Morris Hein Endowed Scholarship is awarded to students who meet the following criteria:

  • Current undergraduate enrolled full-time in the College of Arts & Sciences with a declared major in Chemistry.
  • Will be a junior or senior in the upcoming academic year and exemplify honesty and integrity.
  • U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
  • Complete the ²ÊÃñ±¦µä General Scholarship Application.
  • Complete this scholarship application by the deadline.

Preference will be given to students who have completed an organic chemistry course with a grade of B (or higher) and who have a cumulative CU GPA of at least a 3.0. Additional preference will be given to students with financial need as determined by the FASFA/CASFA.

Applicants are required to submit a brief personal statement detailing how the study of chemistry has influenced their lives, either personally or professionally.
