Profile

Associate Professor Shu-Ling Chen Berggreen holds a PhD from the University of Tennessee with emphases in broadcasting, media and socialization, child and family studies and applied statistics. Her research areas include children and media, media and identity politics, media, culture and globalization, media institutions and economics in Asia,and methodological issues in media research. She worked as a TV reporter, scriptwriter and program producer in Taiwan. Her primary teaching areas are children and media, media and globalization, media institutions and economics, East Asian media, media and ethnicity, theories, qualitative research methods and quantitative research methods.
