Majoring in Neuroscience & Psychology with a Minor in Space

Research interests:

My main goal is to contribute in improving prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of mental disorders, especially ones that are not well characterized and are generally treatment-resistant. Although I’m still exploring, I am most intrigued by neuropsychology and behavioral genetics. Biology is far from the only factor that impacts mental health, but studying biological differences could reveal what predisposes individuals to develop certain mental illnesses, how people with the same diagnostic label differ, and why treatments are more effective in some individuals than others. I hope that, by studying the underlying biology of mental health, I can help develop preventative/protective measures for high-risk individuals, create more specific diagnositc categories, and individualize psychological treatments for the best effectiveness.

About me:

I’m in my final year at CU and I’m planning to pursue a PhD once I get more experience in the lab! In my free time, I love crocheting, getting coffee with friends, playing with my kitties (Hugo & Rain), and listening to music!
