Majoring in NeuroscienceÌý

Research Interest: I am fascinated by neuroendocrinology, particularly the anti-parallel qualities of meditation and sleep, vs. chronic stress and trauma. I am also curious about the role of the endocannabinoid system in consciousness states like imagination, dreams, creativity, and memory.

Responsibilities: I am a research assistant in the wet lab where I process blood to obtain plasma samples for the various studies executed at CUChange.

About me: I grew up on a ranch in (extremely) rural southwestern Colorado with no TV and few neighbors, and spent most of my time with books, animals and nature. As a result, reading, running, hiking, camping, gardening, and solitude are things I still love as an adult. I am a lifelong learner and non-traditional student, with a decade-long background in creating and teaching mindfulness curriculum, and a specific interest in the benefits of meditation for trauma populations.
