Beth BartelÌý(MJour)Ìýworks as an outreach specialist at UNAVCO, a Boulder-based scientific facility supporting research in natural hazards and other sectors of Earth science. she dabbles in much of what she worked on in the journalism program at CU--video production, photography, public relations, design, web content, and social media. Her favorite parts of the job are supervising interns, teaching science communication, fostering local, regional, and international partnerships, working at the interface of science and society, promoting diversity, and also trying to drive cultural change through effective communication.

Emily TalleyÌý(Comm)Ìýretired from professional golf this year after playing 3 seasons on the LPGA Symetra Tour and a 4th and final season on the Ladies European Tour. Emily resides in Oslo, Norway with her fiancé, Andreas Høye (Finance ‘14) who was on the CU cross country ski team. Emily is the content and sales manager for an outdoor adventure start-up and app called Outtt which is based in Oslo.

Mildred TaylorÌý(MJour) is the author of nine books. Her first,ÌýRoll of Thunder, Hear My Cry, which won the Newbery Medal in 1977, recently celebrated its 40th anniversary with the release of a special edition. At CU, Mildred helped create a black studies program and taught in it for two years. She lives in Boulder.

During his time at ²ÊÃñ±¦µäÌýTroy Hendershott (Jour)Ìýwas working full time for HDNet, which is now AXStv, as the Program Manager from 2000-2012. He retired in a sense to fulfill his dream of traveling around the world. Hendershott left Denver on a one-way ticket to Belize and has traveled to 35-countries—living in 19 of them. He is always proud to be a ²ÊÃñ±¦µä Alum and hopes to inspire others. Throughout his travel experiences he’s Ìýlearned an incredible amount of things and have worked a variety of jobs. Adam ColeÌý(Jour)Ìýis serving as the public affairs office for the U.S. Navy's Amphibious Force, 7th Fleet in Okinawa, Japan. Cole oversees social media strategy, visual information production, and media operations for 13 units that fall under this military command. He deployed with the Bonhomme Richard Expeditionary Strike Group this past fall, conducting a bilateral exercise with the Philippines and making port calls to Singapore and Hong Kong - overseeing social media/media output throughout the deployment. He continues to proudly serve.

Prior to landing theÌýBoulder Daily Camera’s higher education job, Elizabeth dug deep as a fellow at the Center for Public Integrity, an investigative newsroom in Washington, D.C. Before that, she called theÌýDenver PostÌýhome for two years, first as an intern and then as a staff reporter covering breaking news and education. When she’s not filling her reporter’s notebook, she enjoys reading and writing but detests arithmetic.
