In January, Meredith (Arndt) Mirrington (MediaSt) joined PR Talent, a communications recruitment firm, as managing director. For the previous two decades, Mirrington led high-impact communications efforts for companies in industries ranging from tech to tourism. Most recently, she was a global communications and culture leader at Amazon Web Services. Mirrington lives in Bethesda, Maryland, and serves as an adjunct instructor in CMCI’s online corporate communications graduate program.

Michael Maney (MJour) was named head of internal communications for The Home Depot in January and is building a center of excellence to engage with more than 500,000 associates across North America. He was previously head of internal communications for Amazon’s Whole Foods Market and Target, and led communications for Sony and Disney.

Reid Kaplan (Advert) is a residential real estate broker and value-add apartment investor based in west Los Angeles. In 2021, he ranked in the top 1.5% of realtors in California. Kaplan is married with two sons.

Piya Sorcar (Bus, Econ, Jour) is the founder and CEO of the social venture TeachAids, an adjunct affiliate at Stanford University School of Medicine, and a faculty fellow at the Stanford Center for Innovation in Global Health. TeachAids HIV education software is used in 82 countries, including areas where HIV-related education was previously forbidden. TeachAids launched CrashCourse concussion education in partnership with 23 of the U.S. Olympic Committee’s national governing bodies. Sorcar lives in Mountain View, California.

Danielle Praeger (Advert) is the vice president of R&D at Dr. Praeger’s Sensible Foods. She has devoted her professional career to helping to grow the company her father founded in 1994. She develops new nutritious products, including veggie-forward, plant-based, and kid- friendly frozen foods. During non-COVID-19 times, you’ll find her pursuing adventures like hiking Mount Kilimanjaro, exploring Southeast Asia or seeing the sites of Italy.

In 2012, she earned an MFA in creative writing from Colorado State University.

He recently became an elected official in his hometown, Wellesley, Massachusetts.

Mitch Schneider (Jour) and his wife, Tania, welcomed their first child, Ivy Isabella, in mid-July. Schneider is approaching nearly two decades of work in technology software sales. He spent the last four-and-a-half years working for Braze, a customer engagement platform, on the global strategic accounts team, selling to many of the world's largest media and entertainment brands. Braze went public in November 2021.

In 2004, Melissa Stockwell (Comm) became the first woman to lose a limb in the Iraq War when she lost her leg to an IED during a routine patrol in Iraq. After a long and challenging recovery, she went on to win three paratriathlon world championships and a bronze medal at the 2016 Rio Paralympics. Her memoir, The Power of Choice: My Journey from Wounded Warrior to World Champion, was published in 2020, and in 2021, she competed in the Summer Paralympics in Tokyo.
