鈥淲e鈥檙e getting ready for CU vs. CSU over here in Afghanistan this week,鈥澛�Alex Banks聽(PolSci鈥�11) wrote in August. Alex is a second lieutenant located in the northern Helmend Province of Afghanistan along with two other Buffs. One of Alex鈥檚 classmates,聽T.J. Perna聽(EnvSt鈥�10), is serving in the south with a different unit. The four Marines participated in the NROTC program while they were in Boulder.聽

Denver Human Services announced聽Jeffrey Holliday聽(MBA鈥�11) as the agency鈥檚 deputy manager of protection and prevention services. Jeffrey has more than 20 years of experience in the realm of child welfare in the public and private sectors. He oversees Denver鈥檚 child protective services, foster care services, child abuse hotline, Family Crisis Center, youth services and community programs.
