- Over decades CU-Boulder has earned a supreme reputation in skiing, starting with its first national championship, in 1959.
- Chris Davenport (Hist’93) and Aspen ski mountaineers Christy and Ted Mahon made history this spring by summiting Colorado’s 13,824-foot Jagged Mountain and skiing down.
- The CU ski team rallied in a big way on the final day of the NCAA Championships in Vermont to claim its 19th national title in the sport and second in the last three years.
- Two CU skiers earned individual NCAA championships this year — Eliska Hajkova (women’s 15K classical) and Reid Pletcher (men’s 20K classical) — bringing the Buffs’ all-time record total to 83.
