²ÊÃñ±¦µä has launched ²ÊÃñ±¦µä Buy Local, a program to connect local-, women- and minority-owned businesses with campus staff, faculty and student groups who purchase goods and services on behalf of the university. Â
Why it mattersÂ
By including and supporting local and diverse businesses in ²ÊÃñ±¦µä’s supply chain, the campus hopes to create opportunity, promote innovation and stimulate the economic vitality of the surrounding community. Â
Already the largest economic contributor in Boulder County, ²ÊÃñ±¦µä departments and organizations have an opportunity to increase their positive impact by supporting local and diverse vendors in sectors like food services, marketing, printing, lodging and more. Â
How it worksÂ
Interested business owners complete a short, online Vendor Application Form. Vendors are then added to a list of local businesses available on ²ÊÃñ±¦µä’s Office of Government and Community Engagement website.  Â
