Jamesie is a second-year undergraduate honors student at the pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Psychology along with a Public Health Certificate. As an alumni of Kamehameha Schools Kapālama, a school for Native Hawaiian children, she is committed to giving back to the people of Hawaiʻi through supporting mental health awareness. In the Mindful Campus Program Study, she is a student mentor aiding in the co-design process and co-facilitator for BIPOC affinity groups. In this study she aims to center the voices of People of Color at the in mindfulness research, teaching, and practice. She is an intern at Blue Zones Project Hawaiʻi and Okaya, working to promote individual wellbeing. Following her undergrad, she hopes to continue her education, gain further experience in psychological research, and pursue a doctoral in clinical psychology.
