CU Engage announces the inaugural cohort of Community Based Research Graduate Fellows
Six doctoral students from four departments (Civil Engineering, Computer Science, Education, and Geography) were selected for the inaugural year of the Graduate Fellowship in Community-Based Research. These students were selected by a cross-campus committee of faculty, staff, and graduate students. Four of these .25 GRAs were funded by CU Engage and two by the Office of Outreach and Engagement. Fellows have completed a two-day summer seminar and will enroll in a doctoral course on the principles and practices of Community-Based Research. They will carry out CBR projects during the 2015-16 year that connect to their academic discipline and address a public issue.
