Kate Somerville (she/her/hers)Ìýis a doctoral student in the School of Education at the ²ÊÃñ±¦µä. Kate holds a M.A. in Teaching from Johns Hopkins University and a B.A. in Public Policy Studies and Political Science from St. Mary’s College of Maryland. Prior to starting at ²ÊÃñ±¦µä, Kate taught 2nd grade in Baltimore City. Her research interests surround youth engaged education policy related to police-free schools and school-based systems of healing, wellness and mental health.
