On March 18, 2019, Dr. Kathy Lubey gave a guest lecture on Sexual Remembrance in Clarissa.

  will be hosting a seminar with English graduate students to discuss her recent work on 18th-century dildos in conjunction with her recent article, "Sexual Remembrance in Clarissa." The seminar will be held on Monday, March 18th from 9am-11am, location TBA. 

Dr. Lubey will be discussing her new work on dildos in 18th-century art and literature, and how she sees the dildo work routing back to the concerns about sexual violence that are raised in the Clarissa article. I've attached a copy of the article to be read prior to the seminar.
