Drinking Water Market Sector Director, HDR 

Chance Lauderdale is a Senior Vice President at HDR, Inc., where he serves as their Global Drinking Water Sector Director. Chance earned his BS, MS, and PhD in Environmental Engineering at the University of Florida. He is engaged in the conceptualization, validation, design, and operation of drinking, reuse, and reclaimed water treatment systems. His experience includes detailed design and full-scale optimization of facilities ranging from 3 to 900 MGD capacity, including start-up, operation, and training support. He has also served as a Principal investigator (PI), or co-PI, on research projects and programs across the U.S., including nine Water Research Foundation-funded. Much of Chance’s research has sought to advance the body of knowledge on advanced treatment, including ozone/biofiltration, in drinking water and reuse applications. These efforts have been included in dozens of peer-review journal publications, guidance manuals, and/or other materials commonly referenced by industry professionals.
