CU Achieve Summer Grant
Summer is a great time to catch up on some credit hours and progress to the next level of your academic career. The CU Achieve Grant could help you pay for your summer courses.
Amount
Students who enroll in 6+ credit hours for summer will be considered for a $2,000 CU Achieve Grant.
How to Apply & Deadline
- Must be enrolled in summer classes by May 1
- Must have (or eligible ASSET financial aid application) on file for current aid year

Eligibility Requirements
- Degree-seeking student working toward first degree
- Enrolled in a summer session at ²ÊÃñ±¦µä in at least 6 credit hours
- Courses taken pass/fail (no credit) through Continuing Education and Professional Studies do not count toward the minimum credit hours
- Colorado resident or nonresident
- Financial need in current academic year as determined by or ASSET financial aid application (undocumented students only) i.e. 2023-24 FAFSA for Summer 2024
Notification
If eligible and if funding is available, students will receive CU Achieve Summer Grant notification once they complete the summer financial aid application or once they enroll (after May 1).
Cancellation and Adjustments
- If your summer enrollment drops below 6 credit hours, your grant may be reduced or canceled.
- If you do not begin attendance in your courses, your grant may be reduced or canceled.
- If you receive any type of financial aid, but never begin attending classes, the Office of Financial Aid must return all funds to the respective federal, state and institutional aid programs.
