Spring 2021
Course: FREN 4110-001
Instructor: Élisabeth Arnould-Bloomfield
Teaching Method: Remote
Meets: TR 12:45-2:00pm
France and French authors have always had a peculiarly ambivalent attitude towards ecology and environmental issues. In this class, we will study the cultural, social and political context of this conflicted French ecological culture. Contemporary novelists such as Darrieussecq, Chevillard, Rolin, as well as environmental mainstream journalists, authors and grassroots movements will be in the program. Please contact professor Bloomfield at elisabeth.arnould-bloomfield@colorado.edu if you have any questions.
- Taught in French.
