Vanessa DiMaggio

Vanessa DiMaggio holds a B.S. summa cum laude in Journalism from the University of Florida, an M.A. in Magazine Writing from New York University, an M.A. in Italian Studies from Florida State University (FSU) and a Ph.D. in Italian Studies from the University of Pennsylvania (Penn). Her dissertation research focused on Dante’s use of historical sources in the Divina Commedia. She has been teaching all levels of Italian language since 2011 and has previously taught Italian at FSU, Penn (where she received an Excellence in Teaching Award), the University of Denver and Colorado College. She taught adult learners through the Dante Alighieri Society of Denver for two years. She currently teaches beginning and intermediate Italian.
