Sigma Lambda Beta International Fraternity, Inc.
Sigma Lambda Beta International Fraternity Inc. is a Latino-based, multicultural accepting social fraternity. The organization was founded on April 4, 1986, at the University of Iowa and was based upon the pillars of brotherhood, community service, cultural awareness and scholarship. The Lambda Chapter of Sigma Lambda Beta was established on the campus on April 14, 1991. Since then, Sigma Lambda Beta has crossed 91 brothers and has significantly impacted the campus and Boulder community.
The Lambda chapter has held numerous community events throughout the year, including Día De Los Muertos (Day of the Dead) in November, a Noche de Baile cultural awareness event and a women of color appreciation dinner in March. They have been in all parts of Boulder and its surrounding neighborhoods, helping prospective students and families find a place academically and socially. Not only is the Lambda Chapter of Sigma Lambda Beta making an impact now, but it will continue to make an impact in the future.
