We're thrilled to share enhancements to our Medical Services processes, focusing on same-day appointment availability, geofencing and pre-appointment forms to elevate your Wardenburg clinic experience.  

  • Same-Day Appointments: If no slots are available for same-day appointments via your patient portal, choose "Nurse Advice – Call Back Same Day." This places you in a queue for a nurse call back on the same day. The nurse will gather information about your symptoms and assist in arranging an appointment. 
  • Geofencing: To decrease wait times and improve clinic flow, we've implemented a geofence. Please ensure you're physically present in the building 20 minutes before your appointment to complete the check-in process. It's crucial to be in the building for the check-in initiation. If your check-in forms are not complete prior to your appointment start time, you may be asked to reschedule your appointment. Late arrivals will result in rescheduling, so please factor in enough time. If using your phone, enable location services and consider signing out of virtual private networks (VPNs). 
  • Pre-Appointment Forms: Many required forms are now accessible before your appointment. Completing these in advance ensures a smoother check-in process. Your proactive engagement allows for a more efficient clinic visit. Log in to , select "Get Started" in "Medical Services at Wardenburg," and complete any available forms.

Physical Therapy and Integrative Care Cancellation Policy

Appointments must be canceled by 5 p.m. the business day before your appointment to avoid the late cancellation fee. Appointments can be canceled online at  or by calling 303- 492-5432 24 hours before your scheduled appointment.

Late cancellations or missed appointments

  • Primary Care and Sexual and Reproductive Health: Late cancellations and missed appointments will result in a $30 charge.
  • Physical Therapy: A late cancellation or missed appointment for an initial physical therapy visit is a $60 charge. For other types of visits, late cancellations and missed appointments will result in a $30 charge.

Primary Care and Sexual Reproductive Health Cancellation Policy

To cancel or reschedule, you can use the "cancel" button on the portal or call 303-492-5432 at least three hours before your appointment or you may be charged a fee. If you are late, you may be asked to reschedule.

Telehealth Visits

Medical Services offers telehealth visits for some medical conditions. Patients can schedule in-person or telehealth appointments.

Insurance Information

All students can access Medical Services regardless of health insurance coverage. See more information about the Anthem Gold Student Health Insurance Plan (SHIP), the BuffCare Program and private insurance billing through the student health insurance website.

Billing and payments

Health and Wellness Services will bill eligible services through your insurance carrier (private or Anthem Gold Student Health Insurance Plan). Students are responsible for applicable co-pays, co-insurance, deductibles and any non-covered services (including those not covered by the BuffCare Program. Please bring your insurance card and policyholder information (name, address and date of birth) to your appointment to set up insurance billing. Late payments

If the payment deadline is not met, the student's remaining balance will be transferred to the Bursar’s Office with a late fee or will be turned over to collections for non-enrolled students.

Please review and update your contact information when checking in for your next appointment to ensure your bill goes to the correct address.

Health & Wellness Eligibility

Currently, Health & Wellness only sees CU students. In order to be seen at Health & Wellness, students must meet one of the following eligibility requirements:

  • All students must have paid the Mental Health and Student Health fees
  • Undergraduate Students must be enrolled in six or more credit hours
  • Graduate Students must be enrolled in one or more credit hours
    • Some Grad Student categories do not have to pay fees to be seen
      • Please contact the bursar or your advisor for questions regarding Grad Student fees
