PedroÌýhas a BS in Physics from the University of Texas at Dallas and recently completed his PhD in Philosophy at the University of North Texas in July 2024.Ìý

Pedro’s research is situated in the intersection of Continental Philosophy, Process Philosophy, and Philosophy of Physical science. For his doctoral dissertation,ÌýPedrodeveloped a genealogical study of the concept of energy in western philosophy and science, focusing on how energy has been theorized historically in relation to time. Among the main influences on this genealogical study were the ideas of Friedrich Nietzsche, Henri Bergson, and Gilles Deleuze.Ìý

He has recently published a paper in the Italian philosophy journalÌý°Õ³ó²¹³Ü³¾Ã ³ú±ð¾±²Ô, which published a special issue on "Henri Bergson. Creative Evolution and Philosophy of Life." He also has a forthcoming publication inÌýResearch in Phenomenology. You can find his published worksÌý.Ìý

Having taught Ethics in Science and Ethical Theory, he enjoys teaching students about the ethical and existential ramifications of modern science for the individual and society.
