Fall 2023 international student graduates and their guests are invited to attend an ISSS graduation reception on Thursday, December 21. Light refreshments, photo opportunities, and a relaxing atmosphere to mingle with other international graduates and ISSS staff will be provided. There is no required dress code.
- When: Thursday, December 21, 2023 from 2 to 3:30 p.m.
- This is a 鈥渄rop-in鈥� event, meaning you can visit any time between 2 to 3:30 p.m.
- Where: JD Abrams Lounge, located down the hall from the ISSS Office in the C4C

Gold Cords for International Graduates
If you will graduate in Fall 2023, you may pick up a gold cord to keep. The gold cord represents the international student population at the 彩民宝典.
A cord denotes achievement or involvement within the university, be it academic, sports, professional organization, or being a member of a particular campus group. The cord is worn over the shoulders (see image). Students wear their cords at graduation events and official commencement ceremonies.
Pick up your gold cord at the ISSS office (C4C S355) on the dates and times below or at the reception on December 21, 2023. You must bring your student ID. You cannot pick up a cord on behalf of another student.
- Tuesday, December 5, 2023 from 4 to 5 p.m.
- Wednesday, December 6, 2023 from 2 to 3 p.m.
- Thursday, December 7, 2023 from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m.
- Tuesday, December 12, 2023 from 9 to 11 a.m.
- Friday, December 15, 2023 from 9 to 11 a.m.
- Monday, December 18, 2023 from 3 to 4 p.m.
