Melissa McEvoy is a Professional Research Associate in the Whiteley Lab. She completed her undergraduate studies at the University of ColoradoÌýBoulder and graduated with a B.A. in Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology (2023) and a B.A in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology (2023). Her undergraduate and postgraduate research has focused on identifying regulatory elements involved in the functioning of bacterial innate immune systems known as cyclic oligonucleotide-based antiphage signaling systems (CBASS). She will attend Oregon Health and Science University to complete her Ph.D. in Biomedical Sciences in Fall 2023.
