Welcome to the Central Analytical Mass Spectrometry Facility and W.M. Keck Foundation Proteomics Resource

The Central Analytical Laboratory at the University of Colorado at Boulder serves as a resource offering analytical and instructional expertise in mass spectrometry. We offer a wide selection of mass spectrometry services to the research community within the University system and at large, with the aim of providing scientists with practical training and access to the state-of-the-art instrumentation they need to develop and meet their research interests.

The facility is located in room C1B90 of theÌýÌýand currently houses five mass spectrometry systems that provide unique and complementary mass spectrometry capabilities.

TheÌýinstruments are interfaced with a chromatographic system (e.g. gas chromatography or liquid chromatography), in order to separate complex mixture samples.Ìý For example,Ìýour Orbitrap mass spectrometers are interfaced with Waters nanoACQUITY UPLCs capable of multidimensional high-resolution separations. The services that we routinely provide are listed here.

We also offer training for open access to some instruments including the Thermo ISO LT GCMS, Synapt G2 HDMS, and MALDI-7090-TOF/TOF instruments. If you want to get trained on an instrument, please contact Chris Ebmeier.
