Students win NY piano competition

Several students of Professor of Piano Andrew Cooperstock were recently named prize winners in the 鈥淣ew York Concerti Sinfonietta 2011 International Piano Concerto Competition.鈥 Grand Prize winner Antonio Pastor-Otero (DMA), now professor at the Conservatoire de Musique de Gen猫ve (Switzerland), performed Haydn鈥檚 鈥淐oncerto in D Major鈥 at Carnegie Hall鈥檚 Weill Hall on Dec. 17. He was joined by his wife, second prize winner Pia Bose (DMA), who performed Mozart.

Coleen Sheline 1926-2011

Coleen Sheline worked for the University of Colorado for 20 years as secretary to the director of marching bands and as administrative assistant to the Dean of the College of Music until she retired in 1990. Coleen (Ewy) Sheline died on November 11, 2011 at a nursing home in Loveland. Coleen was born March 26, 1926 to Leonard and Luella Drage on the family farm in Campion, Colorado.
