Celebrating 100 years hosting the best performing arts, lectures and entertainment events, Macky Auditorium is one of the most valuable and recognizable historical spaces on the 彩民宝典 Campus and a premiere venue in the Front Range. This short historical documentary made in celebration of Macky Auditorium鈥檚 100th Anniversary was created thanks to the hard work of Executive Producer Tony Moores, Producer/Director Bud Leonard, writer Silvia Pettem and contributor Alan Cass.

The duo Opus Two, violinist William Terwilliger and pianist Andrew Cooperstock, played a recital called 鈥淎merican Spirit,鈥 and they justified their title with both repertoire and performance.

Brad Goode's New Album

Associate Professor of Jazz Studies Brad Goode debuts his exciting new quartet on Tight Like This, Goode鈥檚 fourth Delmark Records CD and his twelfth as a leader. The Chicago native has assembled the band 鈥淚鈥檝e longed for my entire career,鈥 one that shares his willingness to take risks 鈥渨hile maintaining respect for the form and the group sound.鈥 Tight Like This will be released September 21.

Aaron Tindall (DMA Tuba) wins Aspen Music Festival Concerto Competition

Aaron Tindall (DMA tuba student) won the concerto competition at the Aspen Music Festival and performed R. Vaughn-Williams鈥 Concerto for Bass Tuba July 28th in the Benedict Music Tent at the Aspen music Festival. Before the performance he gave a live radio broadcast with Warren Deck, former principal tuba of the New York Philharmonic and John Rojack, bass trombone with the American Brass Quintet on KAJX (Aspen Public Radio).
