Nicole Peters—a senior who’s pursuing a bachelor’s degree in flute performance as well as a certificate in music entrepreneurship with a minor in business—shares what constitutes effective practice. “It's important for musicians to be open to numerous tactics to find the best one for them and to be open to a new strategy even if you feel confident in your own system,” she says. “A change of pace always helps with engagement while practicing.” That said, a few rules for achieving effective practice remain constant … What are they?

Open Forum for the College of Music: for the first in a series of forums this spring. Students, faculty and staff are encouraged to attend, ask questions and engage in dialogue on the activities of the Division of Academic Affairs.

The College of Music is continuing with mandatory weekly COVID-19 testing for all students and faculty engaged in high aerosol music activities. Protect Our Herd is the campus COVID-19 website for information on symptoms, testing and safety tips—including double masking.
COVID-19 Updates & Resources is an expansive go-to for status updates, campus data, etc.
Check out the weekly campus COVID-19 series on Tuesdays at noon, through April 26, 2021.
Buff Info is the campus information center for topics related to ��񱦵�—from study space reservations to mental health resources, student health services and more.
