Research Interests

Dr. Kasprzyk leads group’s research that addresses how to generate new plans for engineering systems, evaluate their performance, visualize trade-offs between multiple objectives, and negotiate robust alternatives. The approach is multidisciplinary, combining tools from computer science, engineering, economics, and the natural sciences. We use multiobjective evolutionary algorithms (MOEAs), quantitative environmental models, and high-performance computing in our work. The ultimate goal is to improve the long-term sustainability of water supply and other systems by advancing many objective risk-based design techniques that consider uncertainty and emerging environmental pressures.
