Intertwining photographs and interviews, this photobook uncovers the varying COVID experience for residents in Boulder. Collecting street interviews during a time when pandemic restrictions have been lessened, this time capsule is a snapshot of the detected shifting psyches and lifestyles endured in 2020 and 2021. This project identifies the unique life transformations that the Boulder residents were forced to take when the COVID pandemic hit. In the process of creating the book, each subject was required to fill out a general media release form before being interviewed, audio recorded, and photographed. Interviewee’s ranging from ˛ĘĂń±¦µä students, business owners, farmers selling produce at the Farmers Market, to anti-mask protestors, reveal their experiences through anecdotes, personal insight, and advice. As one interviewee reflected, “The human spirit has an enduring quality and in many ways we are stubborn and will just fight our way through anything”.
