CU Psychology and Neuroscience graduate student Arielle Gillman (Social, mentored by Angela Bryan) was in the news, with an article about her research appearing in the most recent issue of Colorado Arts & Science Magazine. This research demonstrated that runners who used a mobile app that turned their running exercise into a game-like experience (getting chased by zombies), rather than a performance-monitored workout, reported more positive affect and lower exertion during a half-hour lab treadmill session.
