CU Psychology and Neuroscience Professor Tor Wager (Cognitive) was in the news, with an article about a recent publication appearing in ²ÊÃñ±¦µä Today. The research demonstrated an expectancy effect when it comes to pain, in that the more participants were taught to expect pain, the more their brains responded in an fMRI to pain stimuli even if objectively the pain was not greater.
