Right Here, Right Now Global Climate Summit

In December 2022, the inaugural Right Here, Right Now Global Climate Summit was held at ²ÊÃñ±¦µä.

The summit addressed the interconnectedness of human rights and climate change. The meeting brought together some of the world's foremost human rights, scientific, political, educational, cultural and industry leaders to outline and commit to specfici actions addressing the harmful effects of climate change on human rights.

Five RASEI Fellows were members of the organizing committee and worked for over a year, helping to craft an engaging and informative program and bring together partners and stakeholders to participate in this vital and critical discussion. In particular, a report authored by two RASEI Fellows, Chuck Kutscher and Jeff Logan, titled "Accelerating the US Clean Energy Transformation", was one of the reasons the United Nations was attracted to ²ÊÃñ±¦µä as a host organization.

You can find out more about the summit through the links on this page, which highlight some of the ways that RASEI members were engaged in the summit.
