Enrollment Processing
- Effective Fall 2020, the deadline for students to change a 16-week student-option class from letter grade to pass/fail (or vice versa) is now the tenth Friday of the semester (prorated for special sessions).
- To ensure colleges, schools and programs have time to finalize Fall 2020 class schedules and set up freshman cohorts, the scheduled July 6 registration start date for new, incoming transfer and summer-to-fall students has been postponed.
- The enrollment start date for incoming transfer and summer-to-fall undergraduates has been moved from May 26 to a yet-to-be-determined date in June.
- New summer admits have traditionally been prohibited from taking Maymester and Augmester intensive classes. However, following a policy review, these restrictions have now been lifted.
- To help you gauge the effect of lifting pass/fail restrictions for Spring 2020, the reporting team has developed or modified two reports to include columns related to grading basis and earned grades. In addition, a new report was developed to help administrative offices, departments and advisors keep track of service indicators assigned to currently enrolled students.
- For Spring 2020, the provost recently announced that ²ÊÃñ±¦µä will lift restrictions on pass/fail credits for all majors and degrees (other than law) and allow those students to declare a pass/fail option for most classes.
- The provost recently approved an extension of the last day to drop a class (with a W) deadline for students, through the last day of classes—April 30 for Spring 2020 full-semester classes, prorated for special session classes.
- On Wednesday, March 4, students will receive a registration e-memo specifying their enrollment start date and time. In each block, enrollment appointments are assigned every 15 minutes between 7:30 a.m. and 8:30 p.m. on weekdays (M–F) and 11 a.m. and 8:30 p.m. on Sunday, April 5.
- In general, enrollment appointments are based on total cumulative hours and occur between March 4 and 6, 2020.
- When we purged the waitlists for Spring 2020 classes on Monday morning, we produced reports showing who was on each class waitlist.
