The iSAT team recently had an interactive demo of the new AI researcher display accepted to the 23rd Conference on Artificial Intelligence in Education. The speech-based researcher聽display presents data on student groups as they engage in collaborative problem solving in near real-time. Some of the metrics displayed include the number of words spoken by a team and the words themselves via automatic speech recognition, the degree of topic and task related talk within a team, and collaborative problem-solving metrics including building knowledge, negotiating/coordinating, and team function.
The display is also able to show the underlying AI pipeline that informs the visualizations. The iSAT team is looking forward to sharing this display at the upcoming conference as well as continuing to iterate on the design of a teacher and student display! Watch the full video
