October 3 - 7, 2022: Blueprint for an AI Bill of Rights
iSAT’s mission is to develop an AI Partner that will help create equitable and engaging learning experiences for all students. But as much as we believe in a world where AI can be extremely useful, we also share the broader concerns related to this science, such as privacy infringement, workplace displacement, algorithmic bias against minoritized groups, equitable access to education technology and tech weaponization. The White House Office of Science and Technology Policy has identified five principles that should guide the design, use, and deployment of automated systems to protect the American public in the age of artificial intelligence. The Blueprint for an AI Bill of Rights is a guide for a society that protects all people from these threats—and uses technologies in ways that reinforce the highest values. Stay tuned for discussions on how we can incorporate these principles in our AI Partner design and testing! You can read the full Bill of Rights .
