Graduate Students to Present Papers at Rocky Mountain Great Plains Regional AAR Conference
Eric Haynie, Maureen Kelly, and Jonathan Peterson will present papers at the Rocky Mountain/ Great Plains Regional AAR conference April 5-6, 2013. The three papers comprise a panel, “Formations of Subjectivity in Modernity: Its Forms, Functions, and Pitfalls.” Eric’s paper is on “Askesis, Gelassenheit, and the Project of Life,” Maureen’s is on “Askesis and the Historical Body,” and Jonathan’s is on “Parrhesia, Philosophical Askesis, and the ‘Cartesian Moment’: A Comparative Study of Subjectivites of the Self in Modernity.”
