Women’s Resource Center tie-dye welcome.ÌýGet to know the awesome people at the WRC with some tie-dyingÌýfrom 3 to 5 p.m. on the UMC Plaza. The WRC provides both great services for women and the frequent fun activity at which everyone (men included) is welcome to join in, so don’t miss out and be sure to bring your artsy side! .
Sustainable campus tour.Ìý²ÊÃñ±¦µä prides itself on being one of the most environmentally friendly schools in the country and if you’re interested in getting to know more aboutÌýexactly how we have gained that reputation, then join the CU Environmental CenterÌýfor a campus sustainability tour from 8 to 9 a.m.Ìýfor the in-depth details of our green practices. The tour is free and leaves from UMC Room 335; remember to bring your comfy walking shoes. .

Be Involved Fair.ÌýFormerly known as the Fall Student Involvement Fair, this handy annual resource grants students a direct in with all of CU’s clubs and organizations, including everything from club sports to volunteer groups to Model UN. Even if you don’t know yet how you’d like to be involved, this represents anÌýexcellent chance to simply go and peruse all of the multitudinous options available to students. The fair happens from 3 to 7 p.m. on the Norlin Quad, so there’s very little chance you won’t see it. .

Gender and Sexuality Center welcome picnic.ÌýJoin the GSC on Farrand Field from 4 to 6 p.m.Ìýto meet some awesome new people, eat some free food, play some games, and learn about all that the GSC does for CU’s thriving LGBTQ community. Absolutely everyone is welcome to this free event, particularly if you’re interested in learning about LGBTQ resources and future events or how to be an ally. .

Local songwriter showcase.ÌýProgram Council presents six amazingly talented local musicians at Club 156 (in the UMC) between 7 and 11 p.m. These young songwriters will take the stage with original compositions that will blow your mind during this free concert, and you can check out each artist’s sound beforehand on the event webpage.
Buffapoolooza pool party at The Rec.ÌýGrab your friends and get ye to the Buff Pool from 8:30 to 10Ìýp.m. this evening for some swimming, water sports, free food and prizes, and music (basically your ultimate pool party). This is a CU SoberBuffs event, which encourages super fun in a substance-free community, so come sober and swimsuit-clad for a grand old time.
Trivia at the UMC.ÌýGather upÌý10Ìýof your closest friends and bring them down to the UMC dining room so they may become part of your super knowledge-dropping team and compete for some stellar prizes in an exciting and varied trivia contest. Rec Center welcome activities.ÌýThroughout this entire weekend, The Rec will be offering free classes and outdoor activities for students, including (but not limited to) Zumba, hiking, yoga, boot camp fitness classesÌýand ballet. Many of these activities bring students into the foothills surrounding Boulder and give a taste of the beautiful local natural landscape. Buffs meet Buffs mixer.ÌýHave some fun after your first week of the semester with your fellow Buffaloes at the Lower Gym in The Rec where you can play some games and win some prizes from 1 to 2:30 p.m.. This is a great way to meet some new people in a relaxed and fun environment so come one, come all!
Farrand Fest.ÌýIt’s that time of year again. The annual Farrand Fest takes place from 1 to 6 p.m. on Farrand Field and serves as a central place to gather as a community. Join The Herd for free food, games, all kinds of entertainmentÌýand ample opportunities to make some new friends!
