Welcome to the university

The New Employee Welcome Experience is the first event in a comprehensive, year-long onboarding experience designed to increase the understanding of 񱦵’s culture, organizational structure and governance, operations, learning mission, values and campus initiatives. The program is offered to new, permanent employees. This program is recommended for employees in their first 30-45 days of employment.

Theday-long New Employee Welcome Experienceevent will orient new employees to 񱦵. The eventstarts at Norlin Library in the historic heart of campus, where participants begin to develop their understanding of what it means to be a member of the 񱦵 community. The day includes a two-hour walking tour of campus and a one-hour bus tour broken into two portions throughout the day.Lunch is provided by and print materials are provided by (your campus printer).

During thesession, participants also receive information about additional events in the year-long comprehensive onboarding experience.

New Employee Welcome ExperienceSchedule:

  • Sept.8, 8:30 a.m. to4:30 p.m.
  • Oct.13, 8:30 a.m. to4:30 p.m.
  • Nov.10, 8:30 a.m. to4:30 p.m.
  • Space for each session islimited. If the session you are interested in is full,please register for another upcoming session.

How to Register:

  • Regular, permanent employees who have begun work at 񱦵 within the previous 60 days may register through the portal.
  • Once registered, participants will receive detailed information via email about time, location, what to wear, what to bring, etc.

Other information:

  • Benefits are handled by , the CU System Administration office in Denver that serves all four campuses. TheNew Employee Welcome Experienceprogram is not an orientation to enroll in benefits. Benefits counselors from Employee Services will be present during the lunch break to provide general information when available.
