CU Housing Fair

Join Off-Campus Housing & Neighborhood Relations (OCH&NR)Ìýfor the CU Housing Fair Tuesday, Oct. 31,Ìýwhere you can get information from 45 off-campus propertiesÌýto help you find your perfect place to live. Be sure to come in costume, as there will be a Halloween costume party at 1 p.m. The event also includes free pizza (from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.) and door prizes including a flat-screen TV.

Large property management companies and apartment complexes, localÌýindividual owners and on-campus housing representatives will be present at the fair. Various vendors will also be thereÌýwith specials and information on their respective services. Students attending the fair will be able to search for 1, 2, 3 and 4+ bedroom apartments, houses and condos.

GoodÌýquestions to keep in mind when searching for a rental property:Ìý

  • Is your rental license on file with the city of Boulder?
  • How many people are legally zoned to live in the property?
  • Are utilities included in the rent?
  • Who is responsible for yard maintenance and shoveling?
  • What type of security does the unit/property have?
  • Have there ever been any mice or insect problems?
  • What repairs will be made to the unit before move-in?Ìý

²ÊÃñ±¦µä students may also stop by the OCH&NR office in the University Memorial Center room 313 for an extensive list of apartment complexes and contact information for Boulder’s property management companies.Ìý

Additionally, students who are in the process of signing a lease are encouraged to stop by the OCH&NR office to set up an appointment with the staff attorneyÌýBruce SarbaughÌýfor a free lease review. It is important to know what you are agreeing toÌýbefore you sign.

Off-Campus Housing & Neighborhood Relations is a function of CU Student Government that provides services and resources to over 23,000 students living off-campus. The office is the only student-funded on-campus resource designed to help students transition to off-campus living. Students currently in the process of identifying rentals are encouraged to attend one or more of the upcoming free CU Housing Fairs.
