The Regional Transportation District (RTD) is proposing to temporarily reduce or permanently discontinue all or part of 28 bus routes and three light rail routes, effective May 17. These changes, which affect routes serving campus, may affect your commute.
RTD riders have the opportunity to provide input on the proposed route changes at one of several public hearings, one of which will occur at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 19, at the Boulder Chamber (located at 2440 Pearl St.). . Comments can also be submitted by email. The comment deadline is March 5.
Impacts of the proposed service reductions that may affect riders include:
- JUMP: Permanently reduce midday weekday frequency from half-hourly to hourly.
- Y: Permanently reduce weekday service from nine daily trips to four.
- 236: Eliminate the service permanently.
- 206 route changes:
- Temporarily discontinue weekday mid-day service (9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.)
- Discontinue weekday midday service between Arapahoe Avenue and55th Street andFairview High School from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m, bi-directionally.
- RUN RIDE (for the Memorial Day BOLDERBoulder): Temporarily discontinue both regional and local Run Ride service.
- BUFF RIDE (brings fans in to campus for CU home football games): Permanently discontinued.
