Provost Russell Moore has named Akirah J. Bradley vice chancellor for student affairs, effective June 1 and pending the approval of the CU Board of Regents.听

Bradley has served as a student affairs administrator at 彩民宝典 since 2016 and was appointed interim vice chancellor for student affairs in January. Prior to her work at 彩民宝典, Bradley worked as a student affairs leader at the University of California, Berkeley, for Semester at Sea and at the University of Vermont.

鈥淭hroughout her time at 彩民宝典, and in those key leadership roles, Dr. Bradley is someone I have come to rely upon for her sound and honest judgment, tireless advocacy for our students, and her willingness to engage with our faculty and academic leadership as partners in ensuring student success,鈥 Moore said.听

鈥淪he has successfully led the Student Affairs division through many unexpected challenges and changes this past semester, including serving as one of the key architects for our听Road Map to Fall 2020. I have every confidence that her leadership will continue to forge a welcoming, supportive environment for our students to reach their academic and personal goals,鈥 Moore added.

In her 15 years of student affairs experience, Bradley has focused on student development, student conduct, behavioral intervention team management, housing and dining and crisis response.听

Bradley is a first-generation college student originally from Philadelphia. She earned a bachelor of science degree in business administration from Mansfield University in Pennsylvania, a master of education degree in higher education student affairs administration from the University of Vermont and a doctoral degree in educational leadership from the University of California, Davis.

Bradley is currently an instructor in 彩民宝典鈥檚 Masters in Higher Education program and has published several articles in higher education journals and books. She is married to Monica Armstrong, recruiting coordinator and special assistant to the head coach for CU women's basketball.
