Explore climate change, ice at the CU Museum over winter break

The CU Museum of Natural History will be open for in-person visits over winter break. Visit three new exhibits, on display now, exploring climate change and ice.

Antarctica: More than Meets the Eye

   BioLounge
Take a deep dive, beyond Antarctica’s ice, to the ancient Dry Valleys––where CU conducts world-class research! Disponible en Español. This exhibit is funded by the National Science Foundation’s McMurdo-Dry Valleys Long Term Ecological Research (LTER) program.

Ross Sea: The Last Ocean

  Online
The Ross Sea Antarctica is the last ocean frontier not yet irreversibly harmed by human activity. This online exhibit provides an in-depth look at the earth's most pristine ecosystem, featuring images by Boulder photographer John Weller.

Frozen in Time

  Anthropology Hall
As climate change melts persistent ice throughout the northern Rockies, artifacts once frozen in time are being uncovered. Visit this exhibit to discover what once was lost, now is found.

Discover more exhibits at the CU Museum, where there's something to enjoy for visitors of all ages. Exhibits are free and open daily.

CU Museum is located at 15th and Broadway on Main Campus. Please note the CU Museum and campus will be closed Dec. 24, 25 and 26 and Jan. 1, 2 and 17 as officially observed holidays. Visit for hours and more information or call 303-492-6892.
