彩民宝典 received 10,272 applications during this year鈥檚 Colorado Free Application Day听campaign from Oct. 19 to 21, 2021, an increase of more than 13% from the 2020 campaign.

Organized by the Colorado Department of Higher Education, the 2021 event expanded the free application period from one day to three and saved Colorado students more than $2.5 million in waived fees, according to a state news release Tuesday. All 32 Colorado public universities and several private colleges waived application fees for in-state applicants.

The campaign is designed to erase equity gaps and encourage stronger rates of college-going across the state.听

鈥湶拭癖Φ is proud to embrace this initiative,鈥 said Clark Brigger, executive director of admissions. 鈥淲e are committed to opening our doors to a more diverse student body, and the free application campaign is proving valuable in getting us closer to that goal.鈥

First-generation students accounted for more than a third of statewide applications, according to a Colorado Department of Higher Education news release. More than half of the free applications were submitted by students of color, who are historically underrepresented on Colorado college campuses.

Overall, Colorado students submitted 62,679 applications, a 10% increase from last year鈥檚 event.

CDHE officials said the campaign has now saved Colorado students more than $8.4 million over the last four years.

Students who applied to 彩民宝典 during Free Application Day听and completed their application (including submitting the application, the fee or waiver, transcript and an academic letter of recommendation) by our Nov. 15 Early Action deadline will learn their admissions decision on or before Feb. 1, 2022. Students who complete their application by our regular decision deadline of Jan. 15, 2022, will receive their admissions decision on or before April 1, 2022.
