The 29th annual Campus Sustainability Summit takes place Thursday, April 21, at the UMC. In advance of the much-anticipated Right Here, Right Now Global Climate Summit this fall, faculty, staff, and students are invited to share, learn about听and celebrate 彩民宝典鈥檚 wide array of sustainability leadership and accomplishments.

One year ago, Chancellor DiStefano issued a campus call to climate action. The听summit鈥檚听spotlight presentations and campus initiatives area at the expo will showcase how CU is answering the call to act.

Attend presentations from summit competitors to see what students and faculty are currently working on to take action against climate change. Keynote speaker Parker McMullen Bushman will share what it means to have inclusive climate action and how we can develop solutions to tackle climate change with an equity mindset.

鈥淭his event is a great opportunity to learn about sustainability on campus, including what students and administrators are doing to innovate sustainable solutions to climate change,鈥 said Associate Director of the Environmental Center Marianne Martin.

Over 50 students will be showcasing their climate and sustainability solutions at the summit, all of whom are competing for $25,000 in cash prize funding from Mission Zero. Vote for your favorite when you attend.

You can also make your voice heard: Contribute your vision to the campus climate action plan through open-format activity stations. Drop in to the UMC ballroom as your schedule allows to browse exhibits and participate in the community vision-building activities.
