²ÊÃñ±¦µä Chancellor Philip DiStefano will join Boulder Mayor Pro Tem Rachel Friend at a community event on July 27 to explore how the university and the local community are building a just and sustainable future, together.

The evening event at the downtown Boulder Theater will provide attendees the opportunity to learn more about upcoming ²ÊÃñ±¦µä projects and partnerships—including the campus of the future and how ²ÊÃñ±¦µä is leading the way on climate change action with the Right Here, Right Now Global Climate Summit this December in partnership with United Nations Human Rights.

Speakers will include DiStefano; Friend; Jim Anaya, dean emeritus and distinguished professor of international law; Karen Bailey, assistant professor of environmental studies, and Jamie Wittenberg, associate dean of the University Libraries.

Attendees will also have the opportunity to explore ²ÊÃñ±¦µä exhibits and enjoy food and drinks. Following the event, all are welcome to experience the free musical performances at on nearby Pearl Street, sponsored by ²ÊÃñ±¦µä, for the evening.

Event registration includes one drink ticket, heavy appetizers and dessert. A cash bar will be available.
