Todd Haggerty named 彩民宝典 chief financial officer
Chief Operating Officer Patrick O鈥橰ourke announced on Wednesday that he has appointed Todd Haggerty to be the new vice chancellor and chief financial officer for 彩民宝典, effective Oct. 17.
Haggerty, who currently serves in the same role at CU Denver, will replace Carla Ho鈥檃, who has been the 彩民宝典 CFO since 2019 and earlier this year announced plans to retire.
鈥淭odd is an experienced CFO with deep roots in higher education within the state of Colorado,鈥 O鈥橰ourke said. 鈥淚 am thrilled to welcome him to 彩民宝典 as we implement a new budget model and continue to build our fiscal strength and resilience to ensure the university鈥檚 mission thrives for decades to come. Todd is committed to our priorities of improving student success, advancing diversity, equity and inclusion, and devoting resources to the wellbeing of our students, faculty and staff.鈥
Haggerty has served CU Denver since 2016, first as associate vice chancellor for budget and in his current role of vice chancellor and CFO since December. Most recently, he has led the development and implementation of a new incentive-based budget model on the Denver campus, increasing transparency with the annual budget process and improving alignment of resources with the university鈥檚 strategic priorities.
Prior to CU Denver, Haggerty served two and a half years as CFO for the Colorado Department of Higher Education following a role as senior policy specialist for the National Conference of State Legislatures in Denver.
鈥淚 am grateful to COO O鈥橰ourke and 彩民宝典 for this opportunity, as well as to the leadership and community who supported me at CU Denver,鈥 Haggerty said. 鈥淚 look forward to working closely with our campus community to guide good stewardship of our fiscal resources and ensure that an education at our state鈥檚 flagship institution is attainable for all populations in Colorado.
Haggerty holds a bachelor鈥檚 degree from Metropolitan State University of Denver and a master鈥檚 of public administration from CU Denver.
Ho鈥檃 will remain onboard through Nov. 30 as Haggerty transitions into the CFO role. The CFO reports directly to O鈥橰ourke.
鈥淚 would like to commend Executive Vice Provost for Academic Resource Management Ann Schmiesing, who chaired our CFO search committee, as well as all members of the committee for their professionalism and service in leading a successful search,鈥 O鈥橰ourke said.
