This week brings trivia, a housing fair, the First Person Cinema showcase with Peter Burr, ski and snowboard maintenance, a cooking tutorial, Kongo and swing dance classes and more.

Monday, Feb. 6

   7 p.m.    VAC 1B20
First Person Cinema is a highly respected international showcase. Filmmaker Peter Burr is visiting CU to present his artistic approach to the program.

   7–9 p.m.    The Connection
Test your knowledge with trivia night. Both teams and individuals are welcome. Prizes awarded to top finishers. 


Tuesday, Feb. 7

   1–5 p.m.    UMC Glenn Miller Ballroom
Volunteering is a great way to get involved with your community. This fair is a place where students can learn about local organizations and volunteer opportunities. 

   11 a.m.–1 p.m.    Wardenburg Health Center information desk
S.H.A.R.K. stands for Sexual Health and Relationship Knowledge. Test your knowledge and win sexual health supplies.


Wednesday, Feb. 8

   10 a.m.–3 p.m.    UMC Glenn Miller Ballroom
Do you need support in your housing search? Connect with landlords, property managers and more at the CU Housing Fair. Free pizza provided. 

   5:30–7:30 p.m.    Rec Center, Outdoor Pursuits Classroom    $5
Are you enjoying the winter season? Bring in your skis or snowboard for a waxing and tuning session and tips.


Thursday, Feb. 9

   7–9 p.m.    UMC 235
Do the Lindy Hop in the UMC. This is an American dance, originating in the Black communities of Harlem. 

   5–6 p.m.    Virtual
It may not look like there is much in your pantry, but the Basic Needs Center is here to help. Join this cooking tutorial to learn how to make a delicious meal using basing ingredients from Buff Pantry.


Friday, Feb. 10

   5–6:30 p.m.    UMC 235
In celebration of Black History Month, Enock Kalubi Kadima (Brotha E) is sharing his hip-hop knowledge. Brotha E is a 25-year-old dance artist from the Democratic Republic of Congo. 

   7 p.m.    CU Events Center    $10–$12
After a road trip to Oregon, the CU women’s basketball team is taking on Washington State University at a home game this Friday.
