Welcome to another week of classes and activities! This week brings a gardening opportunity, a guided plant walk, a stress management workshop, time to destress with puppies, elote preparado, sounds of the universe, bi-cookies, CU on the Weekend and more.

According to 񱦵 research, community gardening can play an important role in preventing cancer, chronic diseases and mental health disorders. Join the Farm and Garden Club for an evening of weeding, planting, harvesting and more. It can benefit both the Earth and your well-being.


Tuesday, Sept. 19

5:15–7 p.m. Norlin Library sundial
Urban spaces are occupied by many types of plants. Veteran plant forager is taking students on a guided plant walk this Tuesday. Come learnabout the world of wild edible plants and fungi in urban environments.

1:30–2:30 p.m. ​Vٳܲ
Counseling and Psychiatric Services (CAPS) is holding this free workshopthroughout the semester. Participants will learn stress management skills, ways to regulate emotions and more. Students are recommended to attend three sessions for best results.


Wednesday, Sept. 20

2–4 p.m. ​Visual Arts Complex loggia
De-stress this Wellness Wednesday and spend some time with pups from Lifeline Puppy Rescue. Time with dogs can reduce feelings of stress and loneliness. Additionally, attendees will get information on supporting fellow Buffs for Suicide Prevention Week.

National Hispanic Heritage Month is Sept.15–Oct.15. Celebrate with a cup of elote preparado (prepared corn) at the Dennis Small Cultural Center.

Bisexuality Day is annually observed on Sept. 23. Celebrate bisexuality at CU and decorate your very own bi-cookie.

8 p.m. ​CHEM 140
“Barbie”starring Margot Robbie is a hit 2023 film that tackles themes of patriarchy, equality, independence and more. FollowBarbie as she starts questioning her existence in Barbie Land.


Saturday, Sept. 23

Coach Prime is heading up to Oregon for a showdown this Saturday. Head down to The Connection for a watch party of the Buffs vs. Ducks game. Sko Buffs!
